Deacon Dan: We have the stories from Scripture and the saints about people to whom God came close. What many people don’t realize though, is that God comes close to everyone and he comes close to us every day. God longs to be in relationship, in communion, with each of us. And so, God is constantly revealing his presence with us, his presence within us. As God’s own revealed nature is relationship, God reveals himself to us in our own relationships: our relationships with the world around us and the people we encounter in our lives. I pray that these essays will help you be more aware of the encounters you have with God in your own life.

Review by Bishop Ricken

"Deacon Dan Wagnitz has begun a regular reflection called Embers from Fire on life, God, reality, on relationships and stages of life with a very fresh approach . His thoughts encourage me to be more thoughtful about the beautiful experiences of life and God’s ever- present Presence in my life which stirs fertile ground for the new evangelization! God bless your efforts, Deacon Dan!"
